Hello, this is Sakane of “Kumano Deaino-sato” management people.
Recently, an emergency declaration regarding the new coronavirus infectious disease (COVID-19) has been expanded nationwide, and confusion continues in Japan and the world. The new coronavirus infectious disease (COVID-19) has affected us in a small guest house in Kumano in no small way.
About Kumano Deaino-sato
Kumano Deaino-sato is located a 10-minute drive from Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine, and on a small hill with the same view of Kumano River as Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine. Kumano Deaino-sato was previously operated, but due to certain circumstances, it was closed for many years.
And as a fun inn where you can enjoy the magic of traveling, where new friends gather, people can deepen their understanding across borders and values and meet new nature, new selves, new friends It was about to be reopened soon.
Impact of new coronavirus infection (COVID-19)
We were worried about whether to reopen as a new Kumano Deaino-sato.
However, we thought about the impact on the local people if we forced to reopen and renewed and had infected with the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
For example, what happens to the event that was planned at Kumano Hongu Taisha? The restaurants and retail stores that are already open may be forced to operate even harder.
I also think that elementary and junior high school students and parents will no longer worry.
I had many thoughts, but as a result, we postponed the reopening of “Kumano Deaino-sato”.
By postponing the reopening
It became very difficult to pay salary to the couple who are working towards the reopening of Kumano Deaino-sato by moving in.
Since Kumano Deaino-sato cannot be reopened as a guest house, we managed to hand-make domestic cypress products with the cooperation of a local sawmill and managed to sell them.
The products that we managed to sell are the “firewood for burning domestic natural cypress” that is absolutely useful in barbecues and camping, and the “domestic natural cypress planter box” that is all handmade. The domestic natural cypress used is from the world heritage site “Kumano, the land of resurrection.”
We hope that the new coronavirus infectious disease (COVID-19) will be managed and financial support will be available until the Kumano Deaino-sato can be reopened, so please purchase the product and support the small guesthouse.
